Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) was founded in 2000 by medium-sized enterprises and educational institutions with the goal of equipping students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for successful business careers. Offering internationally recognized Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, FHM specializes in areas such as Economics, Media, Communication, HR, Health, Social Work, and Engineering. Currently, approximately 5,500 students are enrolled across these programs, benefiting from small, personalized learning groups of up to 40 students. 

FHM’s main campus is located in Bielefeld, with eight additional campuses across Germany. The university is known for its strong emphasis on research and development, particularly in areas related to SMEs and applied sciences. FHM’s dedicated department for international development successfully implements EU-funded projects in higher education, vocational education and training (VET), and university-business cooperation. 

In the field of AI, FHM has integrated AI-based virtual assistants into its campus management system to support students and is leading national projects aimed at innovating German crafts through AI. These projects are designed to introduce AI and other advanced technologies into SMEs, with a special focus on tailored educational solutions and employee training. 

FHM continues to actively develop and implement both national and international projects, aiming to promote the integration of AI and ensure its responsible and effective use in various sectors, including education and business. Notable projects include the "Hybot" project, focused on hybrid teaching using AI, and the "Assistant" project, which aims to reshape curricula by incorporating AI tools for teaching complex subjects such as Big Data, AI, and Robotics.

The Centre for Research and European Studies - future business (CRES-fb) is a European association founded in 2019 by 10 organizations from 8 different countries (Germany, Spain, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Sweden, and Russia). It was established to promote the development of sustainable business models, technological and digital innovation, and social and economic growth. The association focuses on education, training, social inclusion, and quality assurance, aligning with the European Commission's targets for 2021-2027. 

CRES-fb brings together organizations from across Europe to collaborate on studies, research, and EU projects aimed at enhancing economic growth, social inclusion, and employability opportunities. The association’s vision is to make lifelong learning and education accessible to all, thereby improving employability and fostering social inclusion. CRES-fb strives to strengthen cooperation among its members and ensure that education and training programs meet market needs.

PAIZ Konsulting Sp. z o.o. has been providing training services since 1997, focusing on enhancing knowledge and driving effective change for leaders, managers, and staff members across small, medium, and large organizations. With a strong emphasis on skills development, behavior transformation, and attitude change, PAIZ has supported nearly 10,000 adult learners from Poland and other European countries. Their training initiatives are designed to impact both individuals and organizations positively.

In addition to its core services, PAIZ, through its brand Skolamed, has also been offering specialized conferences and seminars for the medical sector, providing a full range of hospitality services (www.skolamed.pl). PAIZ’s trainers are recognized partners of Wilson Learning, an international training company operating in 31 countries, as well as the sole representative of Barnes and Conti in Poland. 

PAIZ is committed to expanding its portfolio by incorporating innovative educational solutions, particularly those related to new technologies in the workplace. Their focus on enhancing learning efficiency and promoting environmentally friendly behaviour aims to meet changing market demands and accelerate the adoption of new technologies. PAIZ has been actively involved in multiple projects aimed at increasing learning effectiveness and developing skills that promote behavioural change among adults and SME employees.

Sparkling Intuition (SPIN) is a dynamic software development SME based in Porto, Portugal, specializing in the education and training sector. With a strong commitment to innovation, SPIN collaborates with universities, local and regional authorities, as well as enterprise and education associations, to create cutting-edge solutions that address the evolving needs of learners and educators alike. 

The SPIN team is composed of a multidisciplinary group of professionals with academic backgrounds in diverse fields such as international relations, programming, education, design, and more. This unique blend of expertise allows SPIN to create customized, high-quality e-learning content tailored for different platforms, including mobile, web, and desktop applications. 

SPIN is designing and creating a wide array of educational products, including engaging educational games, interactive online courses and MOOCs, learning apps, digital learning content, and web platforms. Their expertise spans various educational levels, from vocational training and adult education to higher and secondary education.

Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB) is a dynamic and internationally recognized university located in Brussels, Belgium. With eight faculties and four campuses spread across the Brussels Capital Region, VUB offers quality education to over 19,000 students through 174 study programs across various disciplines. The university’s main campus in Etterbeek is home to seven faculties, while the medical campus and University Hospital are situated in Jette. All programs at VUB are accredited by the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organisation (NVAO), ensuring adherence to high-quality academic standards.

AI Lab at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB):
The Artificial Intelligence Lab Brussels, established in 1983 by Prof. Dr. Luc Steels and currently led by Prof. Dr. Ann Nowé, is one of Europe’s leading AI research hubs. As the first AI lab on the European mainland, the lab has built a strong legacy with about 90 researchers, more than 60 doctorates, 1,000 publications, and 11,000 citations. The lab is known for its interdisciplinary approach to AI, bringing together experts from diverse fields like sociology, linguistics, psychology, musicology, and engineering to collaborate on groundbreaking research. 

Since its inception, the AI Lab has focused on bridging the gap between academic research and the needs of business and industry. It has applied AI techniques to various fields, including robotics, governance, cybersecurity, and epidemic management, among others. In the academic year 2022-2023, VUB introduced Flanders' first bachelor’s program in AI, further solidifying its position as a leader in AI education. Through its combination of advanced research, academic programs, and strong industry partnerships, the AI Lab at VUB continues to be a pioneer in artificial intelligence and its applications across multiple domains.
